In the footsteps of the Ancients: A immersive photo tour at Athens’ historical center. Walk through the vestiges of time in Plaka, to discover it’s whitewashed houses in Anafyotika. To reach Thiseio and the pedestrianised Dionysiou Areopagitou street admiring the houses where the Acropolis stands majestically above you and the opposite to Acropolis, Philopappos Hill, gives you some spectacular views of the grandeur of the Parthenon to capture.

All these areas intertwine and produce a magnificent picture of Athens from ancient to modern times, offering a wide array of landscape, cityscape and street photography opportunities.

George Tsafos lives in Athens. During last years he does several workshops and training courses for amateur and professional photographers alike, mainly teaching image editing and how-to photographic techniques. He is relentlessly working on personal photographic projects concerning Greek cultural heritage.
