Submerged in the ambiance of our historic building, surrounded by soft music and beautiful works of Murano Glass you can observe the Masters as they create original pieces in Murano Glass. This demonstration focuses on the creation of two famous symbols of love in Murano glass: The heart in glass and the lovers.

Provided: Admission to the Glass Cathedral, tour of the Cathedral, Murano glass working demonstration during which the masters will complete at least one work of Murano glass

About organizer

We are a local Veanetian family who, after more than 30 years of experience in tourism and hospitality, bought the remains of the Ex Chiesa di Santa Chiara and determined to restore this remarkable space and reopen it to the public as a museum, event space, retail destination for real Murano glass and Italian artisan products. For the past three years, we have been working tirelessly to restore this amazing historical building and create a destination on Murano that provides a welcoming, fun and educational experience of Venice' most important art: Murano glass.

Though the Ex Chiesa di Santa Chiara was in a state of near ruin when we first visited in 2011, we saw it as a once in a lifetime opportunity. Here was our chance to restore an important building, contribute to the preservation of our city's history, and create a venue that both provides visitors with a wonderful experience of Murano and revitalizes the image of Venice' most historic art. Hospitality professionals at heart, we are opening The Glass Cathedral - Santa Chiara as a destination that will welcome all those interested in both visiting the church and experiencing the best of Murano glass and Italian artisan products.
